Lydia ask for two mediums and some squiggles in the mix ability challenge this week, My two are acrylic paints and distress inks all from Ranger. Then I added some squiggles and colored the flowers with Copics.
The background was created by applying the paint to plastic wrap then squishing it around on the watercolor paper and repeating the process until I liked the results. I then sponged on distress ink, stenciled on distress ink and last I added the squiggles. Very easy and fun to createÂ…even with a migraine that I finally got rid of! They are better but not gone!
The flowers are popped up with 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives and I cut the smallest variety into four pieces for the petals.
The flourishes in the upper right corner are 2 sparkle brads from Reminisce.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the 1/16” and 3/16” borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting, I used a craft knife for this project. A tutorial video can be found on the company site.
For the envelope and insert I just stamped the image and used the Scor-Pal to emboss double lines all around on the insert and down the side and across the bottom on the envelope.

Just an amazing card! Love the contrast between the textured, hand-drawn BG and the bold dimensionality of the flowers!
